For over fifty years the Pro-ject factory in Litovel, Czech Republic has been building quality turntables and other hi-fi products. Currently employing over 5000 staff, the Czech parent company represents one of the largest manufacturing entities in Eastern Europe.
The major strengths is the acceptance of the fact that whilst their production abilities are superb they are less expert in some areas of product design. With this in mind, all Pro-ject turntables are designed in Austria and Great Britain and subsequently manufactured in Litovel.
Pro-jects philosophy is one of simplicity, ease of use whilst offering outstanding value for money. X SERIES
Pro-ject XPRESSION III Manual Turntable with 2M Red Cartridge This model is far more superior than the MK II version. The plinth is now in a gloss finish, with an acrylic platter and improved suspension. Along with all that, the fitted cartridge is better than before, the tonearm has been ungraded and there is a better motor.
