ZEPPELIN AIR - Stream your music with AirPlay®
The ultimate AirPlay® wireless audio system. Great sound, advanced Digital Signal Processing and fully integrated AirPlay technology.
Design
Zeppelin Air is designed by Native, led by acclaimed product designer Morten Warren. Bowers & Wilkins has been working with Native for over ten years, a relationship that has resulted in award winners like 800 Series Diamond, the PV1 subwoofer and of course, the original Zeppelin. For the Zeppelin Air, Morten and his team once again worked closely with B&W engineers at the Steyning Research Establishment to create a design worthy of the acoustic technology within.
Dramatic improvements
Zeppelin Air dramatically improves acoustic performance over the original. Its fully active 2.1 design means that all five units are individually driven by audiophile class D amplifiers. It also has more power, to drive the improved drive units. Flowport technology and advanced Digital Signal Processing has dramatically improved the bass performance, and the DACs have also been upgraded, with new 24bit-96KHz capability for improved performance. It also has a raft of extra features, including AirPlay.
Connectivity
As well as wireless and docked connectivity, Zeppelin Air offers a selection of wired options. A USB input allows you to stream music directly from your Mac/PC, as well as allowing you to synchronise with iTunes. A useful Auxiliary socket provides both optical and analogue input with the relevant cable. Lastly a composite video output allows the playing of video on a docked iPod or iPhone to be sent to a TV or computer monitor.
USB connectivity
There’s no need to undock your iPod or iPhone if you want to sync it with iTunes or add more playlists - you can do it all through Zeppelin Air. Simply connect the speaker to your computer by USB and your iPod will be linked directly to iTunes. Syncing contacts, apps, bookmarks, calendars and playlists couldn’t be easier
AirPlay®
Apple’s AirPlay technology allows music to be streamed wirelessly from your Mac or PC to Zeppelin Air. You can even bypass the computer entirely, and stream high-quality audio directly from your iPhone®, iPad® or iPod touch®. All without the need to dock the device. If you have more than one Zeppelin Air, you can use them in a simple to set up multiroom system
AirPlay compatibility
Zeppelin Air AirPlay works with, iPad, iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS, iPod touch, (4th, 3rd and 2nd generations) with iOS 4.2 and iTunes 10.1 (Mac or PC) or later.
Dock compatibity
The iPod interface is an iconic piece of design. Zeppelin Air complements this user interface, allowing the user to grasp the iPod® as if it were in the hand. It accommodates iPods and iPhones® of differing depth through a spring loaded docking port that flexes to accommodate each model. Zeppelin Air’s dock connector works with iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS, iPhone 3G, iPhone, iPod touch, (4th, 3rd, 2nd and 1st generations) iPod classic and iPod nano (6th, 5th, 4th, 3rd and 2nd generations

C5 In-Ear Headphones with Secure Loop design
Perfect Fit
Comfort and quality of fit are vital elements in an in-ear headphone. C5 ensures both with the introduction of the proprietary Secure Loop design, an ingenious innovation where a cushioned loop fixes quickly and comfortably in the inner ridge of your ear. This, together with the tungsten balanced design, holds C5 in place for improved sound, and also makes it ideal for use on the move and during activities.
Natural Sound
Whatever B&W make, the goal is the same: the most natural, realistic sound possible. With C5, you can take true sound with you wherever you go. C5 is a mixture of long-held acoustic principles and technological advances, key among which is the Micro Porous Filter. This acts as a diffuser, enabling C5 to deliver pristine, natural audio, while also providing a more spacious performance than previously possible from in-ear headphones. Together with C5’s noise-isolating design, this allows users to lose themselves in flawless audio.
Advanced Technology
Micro Porous Filter
If you want a spacious sound, you need room to breathe. Not a problem for a large speaker, but quite a challenge for a set of headphones small enough to fit in your ears. With C5 in-ear headphones, we got around the problem with our Micro Porous Filter. Hundreds of microscopic steel balls act as a sonic diffuser, opening up the sound and making music feel remarkably rich and expansive.
Noise isolation
C5’s snug fit and stunningly realistic sound means you can forget the rest of the world and lose yourself in music. At the same time, these in-ear headphones let in just enough ambient noise to allow you to retain your sense of place. Perfect for listening to music when you’re out and about.
Tungsten Sound Tube
When it comes to in-ear headphones, nothing messes with your listening enjoyment more than a loose, unreliable fit. The C5's inner casing is weighted with Tungsten, ensuring they are balanced towards the ear, not away from it. So the in-ear headphones will stay securely inside your ears throughout even the bumpiest bus ride.
MFI Cable
C5 in-ear headphones and your iPhone® or iPod® were made for each other. The C5’s Apple®-approved cable comes with its own remote control and microphone, allowing you to control your music effortlessly, and switch seamlessly between listening to music and making calls.
Secure Loop
One Size fits all. C5's secure loops can be adjusted to fit any size of ear perfectly.
600 SERIES LOUDSPEAKERS
The 600 Series is a bit of a star. Every edition since it first appeared has swept up rave reviews and product of the year awards, and trumped expectations of performance and design from speakers in the affordable price range. This, the fourth generation of the 600 Series, features improved drive units, minimalist crossovers and a whole new design. 686
The 686 is the baby of the 600 Series bunch, but doesn’t lack for the technologies and features to deliver outrageously good sound in smaller room settings. Mount a pair on a wall or stand, or simply sit them on a shelf or table for a compact stereo system or as surround speakers in a home theatre set-up.
The 130mm diameter Kevlar® cone bass/midrange is based on a tried-and-trusted B&W design, but its new fixed centre bullet helps to smooth the response in upper frequencies. Also, by setting the bass/midrange closer to the tweeter than in equivalent earlier speakers, we have improved the integration and vertical dispersion of sound from the two units. The Nautilus™ tube-loaded, aluminium dome tweeter, featuring a new surround material to improve spaciousness and imaging, adds needle-sharp top end all the way to 50kHz and beyond.
The improvements to the drive units in the new 600 Series make it possible, for the first time, to introduce a minimalist crossover to the range. The use of components that are fewer in number but higher in quality – hand-picked in exhaustive listening tests – reduces the degradation of the signal significantly. So, whether you’re enjoying hi-fi or home cinema, what you hear is that much closer to what was recorded.

685
For hi-fi or home cinema in small to medium-sized rooms, you need a loudspeaker that doesn’t take up floor area, but whose sound can still command the space. You’ll find the 685, which can sit on a shelf, table, stand or wall-mount, an inspired choice.

684
The extended bass response and output capacity of the 2½-way 684 floorstander make it a great choice for hi-fi or home cinema in medium-sized to large rooms.
It features a new combination of a pair of Kevlar® cones for delivering its bass and midrange. The lower cone is dedicated to bass, which relieves the upper bass/midrange unit of the duty to handle heavy bass and leads to clearer, crisper midrange than you might find in smaller speakers. The Nautilus™ tube-loaded, aluminium dome tweeter, featuring a new surround material to improve spaciousness and imaging, adds needle-sharp top end all the way to 50kHz and beyond.

683
The imposing 683 is the genuine three-way speaker of the 600 Series, with a line-up of technologies and a level of performance that defies its entry-level place in the market. For large rooms, two 683s make a formidable partnership, either for stereo hi-fi or fronting a home theatre installation.
Deep, dynamic, bottom-end power is delivered by a pair of aluminium/paper/Kevlar® composite cone bass drive units. The 150mm Kevlar® midrange handles middle frequencies with its characteristic clarity and tunefulness, but, for the first time in a 600 Series speaker, includes FST cone surround technology for extra detail and resolution. ASW610XP
The ASW610XP, the most powerful of the 600 Series subwoofers, delivers the finishing touch – or finishing thump – to a hi-fi or home theatre system for larger rooms. Equipped with audiophile-standard Class D circuitry, the unit remains cool and efficient under pressure.

In all of the 600 Series subwoofers, the bass driver diaphragms are constructed from a rugged, finely-tuned mix of paper pulp, Kevlar® fibres and resin, which provides the stiffness needed to withstand the tremendous physical forces exerted by the voice coil and pressures inside the cabinet.

It’s an impressive piece of equipment in itself: a full, three-way speaker comprising a 165mm diameter Kevlar® bass/midrange, a 150mm diameter Kevlar® midrange with FST cone surround technology, and a Nautilus™ tube-loaded tweeter. It doesn’t have to be laid horizontal beneath the screen, as is the custom with centre speakers. If space is lacking, stand it upright. Either way, the HTM61 is cut out for centre stage.

CM Series
CM1 Standmount/FS Stand
The CM1 may be ideal for smaller spaces, but don’t let the size of this bookshelf speaker fool you. Thanks to the quality of its construction, it’s capable of producing a sound that’s a match for its bigger brothers.
The partnership of a 130mm Kevlar® cone bass/midrange driver with a Nautilus™ tube-loaded aluminium dome tweeter helps the speaker handle musical detail with ease across the full frequency spectrum. Despite the size of the speaker, the CM1’s bass is always deep and under control thanks to the CM Series’ magnet and voice coil system technology, which keeps distortion to a minimum.
The quality of CM Series drive units has made it possible to use minimalist crossovers throughout the whole range. The resulting gentle transition between drivers avoids the unnaturally rapid changes in dispersion that bedevil more complex designs, while the high quality components, carefully chosen after exhaustive listening tests, ensure that as little as possible gets between you and the sound of the original recording.
All CM Series speakers come with aluminium driver trims. Grilles attach magnetically, so there are no unsightly grille-mounting features to spoil the clean lines of the speaker’s façade. For the finish, you can choose either one of two real-wood veneers in Rosenut or Wengé, or a highly polished gloss black.

For the finish, you can choose either one of two real-wood veneers in Rosenut or Wengé, or a highly polished gloss black.

CM Centre
Sleek, compact and more than equipped for the detail and nuances that movie sound demands, the CM Centre is the perfect centre channel speaker for a small to medium-sized home theatre system featuring CM Series speakers.
The two-way speaker features two 130mm Kevlar® cone drivers handling the midrange and the bass, while a Nautilus tube-loaded aluminium dome tweeter keeps high frequencies crisp and sharp all the way up to 50kHz and beyond.

CM Centre 2
If you want to get the most from your movies, the CM Centre 2 is an ideal match for a pair of floorstanding CM9s or CM7s in larger home theatre set-ups.
The three-way centre channel speaker features a similar driver line-up to the CM9, including two 165mm paper/Kevlar® cone bass drive units and a Nautilus™ tube-loaded aluminium dome tweeter. In order to keep cabinet height to a minimum, the speaker uses a slightly smaller 100mm Kevlar® FST midrange driver.
